The oak trees we planted in GROVE are specifically dedicated to the children of Philadelphia on Bill's behalf. These children's children will be the ones to see these oaks mature. Mar.15, 2008 the day of planting was well-represented by the very young. Part 1, GROVE: In an instant everything changes was a Philadelphia art project filmed in the Wissahickon and a philly FRINGE installation event located at the Media Bureau in Northern Liberties.

Part 2, GROVE: It's always hard to say-bye, was a series of community events and plantings in Carpenter's Woods, West Mt. Airy, which formed the basis for GROVE: Breakdown, a show of images in February, 2008 at the Abington Art Center.

GROVE: Incursions like these took place officially for the first time August 29 and 30 at the Paper Arts Barn at Rittenhouse Town in Fairmount Park. We processed phragmites, knotweed, and amur peppervine to make the paper seen to the left. The next workshops are scheduled to take place July 18, 2010 at Rittenhouse Town and at Bowman Hill Native Plant Preserve July 25, 2010.
GROVE is, and was, an all-volunteer, leave-no trace, environmentally friendly, art project about trees; real oak trees and real paper trees.
